PhotoCraft v0.6.0

  • Latest release with builds for macOS, Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, and Web — grab them from the Download page or GitHub.
  • Performance: Motion Blur up to 70× faster; Median / Dust & Scratches scale linearly with radius; Move tool with overhanging effects is about 2× faster.
  • Editing: Delete and Fill Selection on the selection tools' context menu; Distort corners stop before the box folds; Last Filter applies to the active layer.
  • Layers & type: Live blend-mode hover preview; Alt-click between layers for clipping masks; Paste into a targeted layer mask; text data sets re-render instead of blanking.
  • Export: WebP quality controls in Export Preferences; Quick Export format shown in the File menu; empty PSD layer/mask channels written as raw.
  • Tools: Airbrush, smoothing, and symmetry options work in the Options bar; Option flips Dodge/Burn and Blur/Sharpen for a stroke.
  • Stability: Hostile sizes and out-of-range values are rejected instead of panicking; PSD layers without channel data no longer allocate hundreds of GB.

  • Colour & type: Color Picker pipette sampling; Color panel / Swatches recolor selected text; type layers keep names in sync with content.

PhotoCraft v0.3.0

  • Compositor performance: Faster gradient stops, pattern preparation, vector masks, and effect-halo rendering; fewer unnecessary backdrop snapshots.
  • HDR & PSD: Preserve HDR samples on white-matted PSD imports; merged PSD alpha keeps exported sample precision.
  • UI fixes: Pasting an image from another app works; Move transform controls are interactive; menu overlap and overflow addressed.
